A bit disappointed with this wine. Very tart, lots of tannins....dries your mouth out. Not much of a fruit flavor or balanced finish. I am kind of hoping it opens up after a bit.....

Tons of blueberry on the nose -- like a fresh blueberry pie with deep, dark fruit notes. In the mouth, a nice bite with an earthy feel that lasts after you've swallowed it for some time. Left with a faint black cherry flavor in the back of my mouth. This is a REALLY hearty wine (warms the tummy); would love to have with some aged cheese, maybe some pepper-flavored crackers... or actually a nice steak.
